Ingredients
- 4 medium pears, ripe just
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 and 1 / 2 cup water (375cc.)
- 1 and 1 / 2 cup dry white wine (375cc.)
- 2 cloves
- 1 orange, peeled and sliced
- the shell of a quarter of a lemon
- powder or liquid sweetener to taste
- 1 / 2 tablespoon cornstarch (starch, potato starch)
It's called product sweetener to sweeten without adding calories.
Preparation
Peel pears, cut into quarters and remove seeds. Sprinkle with lemon juice.
Place in a pan the water, white wine, the skins of the pears, cloves, sliced orange and lemon peel.
Bring the fire with the lid on and allow to lift the boil. Uncover and continue cooking five more minutes.
Remove pan from heat, remove the peels of the pears and add sliced pears.
Re-cover the pan and cook over low heat until the pears are just tender. Approximately 10 minutes.
Remove pears from liquid to drain well and bring the pan to the fire again letting it boil over low heat until the liquid has reduced by half.
Strain the liquid and add cornstarch dissolved in a little cold water. Bring the fire, stirring continuously until mixture is thickened.
Remove and add the sweetener to taste. Pour the cream over the pears and let cool then serve.
